The Plasma Amino Acid Analysis measures the levels of 36 amino acids and intermediary metabolites. Plasma amino acid analysis is favored in conditions where the supply of amino acids and precursors is critical, such as mood and neurobehavioral disorders. This test cannot be ordered for patients under two years of age.
