The Basic Metabolic Panel (BMP) test measures a set of substances in the blood to assess overall metabolic function and health. The BMP includes tests for glucose, calcium, electrolytes (sodium, potassium, carbon dioxide, and chloride), and kidney function markers (blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine).
