About the Test

This is a single-marker test measuring copeptin. The copeptin test is used in the diagnosis of central diabetes insipidus and in the differential diagnosis of central or nephrogenic diabetes insipidus. It is a reliable surrogate marker for arginine vasopressin (AVP).
