The TORCH panel is a group of tests used to screen newborns and, sometimes, pregnant women for certain infections that can cause birth defects in a baby if the mother contracts them during the pregnancy.

This panel determines the absence or presence of antibodies to HIV. The presence of antibody to HIV is not in itself diagnostic of AIDS. Reactive results will be sent for confirmation at an additional charge.

The Candida Immunoglobulins Profile measures IgA, IgG, and IgM response to Candida albicans. This is the blood spot version of the test. It is also available as a serum test.
Mono Test (Epstein-Barr Heterophile Ag IgM)

This is a single-marker test measuring IgM antibodies to Epstein-Barr Virus. EBV is the causative agent of infectious mononucleosis. Other EBV serology assays, such as the EBV VCA IgM, should be performed to confirm serological status, active acute, past, or indeterminate infection for EBV-associated infectious mononucleosis.

EBV contributes to more than 30 autoimmune disorders. Detection of IgG or IgM antibodies to various EBV antigens indicates either past infection, primary reactivation, or re-infection with Epstein-Barr Virus or Herpes Type 4.
