This is a single-marker test measuring fibrinogen. It can be used to diagnose fibrinogen deficiency, dysfibrinogenemia, and disseminated intravascular coagulation, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of thrombolytic therapy. Starting February 1, 2024, samples for this test must be shipped on dry ice.
