We are so excited to welcome DHA Laboratory to Rupa Health! We had a great conversation with Dan Hanson, Director of Sales and Business Development at DHAΒ Laboratory, to learn more about the company and the tests they offer.Β

‍

Introducing DHA LaboratoryΒ

Hi, Dan! I am excited to chat with you today. I’d love to hear about how DHA Laboratory got started.Β

Ellen Hanson started DHA Laboratory in 2001 to service the original Pfeiffer Treatment Center and Health Research Institute with specific chemistries needed to study treating mental and emotional conditions with advanced integrative and functional modalities.

Amazing! Can you tell me a little more about the tests you offer?Β Β

Our most commonly ordered tests are the Kryptopyrrole Quant. Urine, Metabolic Panel Plus, and Advanced Metabolic Panel. Practitioners order these tests to understand and treat many mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ASD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer’s.Β

Fantastic! Are you working on anything new right now?Β

DHA is continuing to develop the needed tests that support ideal neurotransmitter function so providers can pinpoint how to produce optimal results and better support the brain.Β

I love that! I can’t wait to see what tests you all develop next. Β

What is your favorite part about being in the functional medicine industry? How do you see it evolving in the future?Β

I enjoy working with healthcare providers and patients who want to see those that suffer from mental and emotional conditions symptom-free, or have reduced symptoms, so they can live a better and more functional life. In the future, I think we will see better targeting of the tests and treatments that will alleviate negative symptoms as efficiently as possible for patients.

Incredible! Is there anything else you would like to share about DHA Laboratory?

We have a fun place to work! Team members are invited to daily yoga and ping pong games. We have awesome parties every season. Outside of having fun, we are constantly supporting our team members with educational information relative to the development of our industry and testing.

That’s wonderful! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us, and we look forward to growing our partnership with DHA Laboratory.Β
